RBI Grade B Recruitment 2023: Exam Pattern

The 2023 RBI Grade B Exam will be divided into three sections:

Preliminaries in Phase I and Mains in Phase II
Interview
For a confirmed position as a Grade B Officer at the Reserve Bank of India, candidates must successfully complete all three phases. Based on candidates’ performance in the main exam and interview stage, a final merit list will be created.

RBI Grade B Recruitment 2023: Mains Exam

Candidates who pass the preliminary exam are qualified to take the main exam, also known as Phase 2.

The primary test consists of three distinct papers.
Candidates must show up for Papers I, II, and III if they are applying to be RBI Grade B Officers in Gr B (DR)-General.
Candidates must show up for Papers II and III if they are applying to be RBI Grade B Officers in Grade B (DR)- DEPR & DSIM.
Paper II is purely descriptive, whereas Paper I and III are both 50% objective and 50% descriptive.
Each exam will have 100 points.
The test in English is descriptive in nature.

RBI Grade B Recruitment 2023: Number of Attempts

The maximum number of times a general application may appear for the RBI Grade B Exam is 6 (six), but there is no maximum number of times SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates may appear for the exam until they reach the maximum age level.

RBI Grade B Recruitment 2023: Selection Process

The RBI Grade B 2023 Examination is divided into three sections, with the Preliminary Examination being Objective in character and the Main Examination consisting of both Objective and Descriptive Tests.

RBI Grade B Recruitment 2023: Salary Details

Candidates who pass the RBI Grade B 2023 Exam and are chosen for an officer position will receive a salary of between 12 and 14 lac per year. The RBI Grade B Officer’s Exact Pay Scale is Rs. 55,200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850(2)-86550-3300(4)-99750. Candidates will receive a basic salary of Rs. 55,200, with an annual rise of Rs. 2850 up to nine years of service.

After these nine years are up, the officers will enter the executive band, where their base pay will increase to Rs. 80,850/-, with subsequent increases of Rs. 2850/- for the following two years and Rs. 3300/- for the following four. As a result, even without receiving any promotions, a candidate will eventually earn Rs. 99,750 as basic pay.

Candidates who are hired for the position of Officer in RBI are also given other benefits in addition to the Basic Pay, including Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family Allowance, Telephone Allowance, Conveyance Allowance, etc.
